In order to foster a high performing digital education ecosystem, deliver high quality inclusive digital education and ensure that all learners can participate actively in digital education.
By encouraging educators to improve their digital pedagogical skills, D2S@Ulysseus aims to develop digital pedagogical competences of educators, enabling them to deliver high quality inclusive digital education. Educators will be encouraged to develop and use high quality digital content such as innovative online resources and tools. They will use new digital learning materials and tools that will allow them to upgrade their digital course content and boost their “flow” in digital environments. In that sense, they will know better their students and they will be able to create solutions that motivate and engage them, thus improving student engagement and inclusiveness.
Aiming at developing transversal skills that therefore provide competitive advantages for students entering the labour market.
D2S@Ulysseus focuses to arm students with the necessary skills that will allow to adequately prepare their future. Today, in the highly competitive context, students need to be equipped with a variety of skills ranging from basic skills, such as literacy, to technical skills as well as entrepreneurial skills and transversal skills, such as personal development (communication, organization and time management, teamwork and conflict management). The D2S project will enable students to acquire and develop skills and competencies needed for their employability, their career development and socio-educational and personal development, as well as participation in civic and social life, thanks to highly innovative pedagogical tools.
Allowing participants to the online courses to translate their learning experiences into skills and bring to the fore these competences on the labour market.
As the adoption of digital learning is growing at an exponential rate, learners need to value the accomplishment, skill, or competencies earned in learning environments. Digital badges are becoming the preferred way to recognize micro-credentials, study units that focuses on skills or competencies. D2S@Ulysseus aims at developing Open Badges to help students and teachers to translate their learning experiences into skills. Validating all the courses Open Badges will result in validating a Ulysseus Digital Soft Skills Passport, which will boost the visibility of the skills developed.
