This Ulysseus satellite project seeks to foster a high performing digital education ecosystem and enhancing students’ Digital Soft skills thanks to highly innovative pedagogical tools.
The D2S@Ulysseus project started its work last week with an online kick-off meeting in which the six partner universities took part. The aim of this project is, on the one hand, to foster a high performing digital education ecosystem by developing digital pedagogical competences for educators, enabling them to deliver high quality and inclusive digital education. On the other hand, enhancing students’ Digital Soft Skills by providing competitive advantages for those students entering the labour market thanks to highly innovative pedagogical tools.
To reach this ambitious goals, the partners are working on a set of activities: from digital education analysis — including the development of international joint soft skills catalogues, surveys to identify teachers’ and stakeholders’ needs on the labour market, digital guidelines —, to the development and implementation of online training for teachers and Digital Soft Skills courses for students.
The kick-off meeting, held on Monday 22 March, was an opportunity not only to introduce the D2S@Ulysseus team, but also to agree on the overall workplan and timetable, define the first steps and discuss the next deadlines. Partners agreed on the quality assurance framework, dissemination tools and administrative and financial processes.
The D2S@Ulysseus project is one of the Ulysseus European University satellite projects. Led by Université Côte d’Azur together with five other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) involved in the Ulysseus alliance — the University of Seville (Spain), the University of Genoa (Italy), the Technical University of Košice (Slovakia), MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® (Austria), and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland) —, the project will bring the partners an opportunity to rethink the current education and training systems to fit in the digital era.
Ulysseus partners will mutually benefit from shared experiences and good practices, capacity building in digital transformation for teaching and learning, and reflect on to which extent they meet the demands of a rapidly changing and increasingly digital world. Each member university will focus on making student-centred learning a reality for the Ulysseus alliance and on implementing collaborative and participatory approaches for learning and teaching.
